5. Philadelphia 76ers

It is not a team that Rondo will win on anytime soon, but the Philadelphia 76ers have a ton of cap space this offseason and a need for a point guard. If Rondo isn’t interested in winning right away, he may look to join the 76ers as their new face of the franchise. The 76ers have had some misses in the NBA Draft in recent years, which has kept them in the cellar of the Eastern Conference, but they will once again have a chance to make it right in this year’s NBA Draft that has some great prospects like Ben Simmons.

Rondo certainly wouldn’t be afraid to be the guy in Philadelphia, as he could certainly help young players improve with his pass-first mentality. If the 76ers could add a star like Rondo, they would instantly improve and show to the NBA that they aren’t going to be a laughing stock anymore.

The health of their three young big men in Nerlens Noel, Joel Embiid, and Jahlil Okafor will ultimately be key to them turning it around, but all big men also need a good point guard to get them the ball in positions for them to succeed. With more young players coming in this season’s NBA Draft, Rondo could be surrounded by a lot of young talent in the City of Brotherly Love.
