#9 – Oracle Arena – Golden State Warriors

The Name: This venue name has a mystical, fantasy quality to it. The Oracle Arena sounds like the final setting in a space opera about space gladiators. On top of that, the music of the words – which are quite vowel-heavy – just roll off of the tongue. Good thing we will be seeing plenty of the Warriors this year. 10/10

The Aesthetics: Outside of the Lakers, The Warriors are the only team with enough confidence and gusto to emphasize yellow, and it comes through in the gold court and gold seats. When the stadium is packed with fans, the vibe is bright and energetic like the team. It’s too bad the seats are uncomfortable and provide an awkward view of the court.

The Experience: Well, you do get to see a historically great team play the most electrifying and entertaining brand of basketball since the Nash-era Phoenix Suns. And you get to see them win more games doing it. Too bad the access to parking is atrocious, and the tickets are super expensive.

Overview: The Warriors could definitely do better, but even so this is an aesthetically pleasing arena that houses the most dynamic team in the league.
