DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-March 28
High Value C
Robin Lopez-New York Knicks (5,400): Lopez has been inconsistent all season with boom-or-bust potential every night. He had two “boom” games this last week with 54.5 fantasy points against the Kings and 41.25 fantasy points against the Bulls. He followed those two games with two “bust” games though when he managed just 18.25 fantasy points against the Bulls and 15.5 fantasy points against the Cavs. He has the potential to go off tonight against a poor New Orleans interior defense, but he also has the potential to have another quiet game. I like him tonight, but you have to know the risk you’re taking if you roll with RoLo.∗∗
Jusuf Nurkic-Denver Nuggets (4,100): Nurkic is getting some good playing time for the Nuggets coming down the stretch after missing almost the whole season with various injuries. He has scored at least ten points in six of his last seven games and has at least 21 fantasy points in each of those six contests. In his two games in LA against the Clippers and Lakers, Nurkic had 32.75 and 350.9 fantasy points. He’ll look to keep rolling as the Nuggets return home tonight to face the Mavericks who are still searching for answers at center themselves with Salah Mejri, Zaza Pachulia, and David Lee all mixing in at times. ∗∗∗∗
Willie Cauley-Stein-Sacramento Kings (3,700): Cauley-Stein has been on my FanDuel daily picks list several times over the past few weeks as coach George Karl has promised to get him more playing time. Unfortunately, an ill-timed illness limited him and cost him a couple games. He has been back recently, though, and has had two excellent games this past weekend. On Friday, Cauley-Stein went off for 26 points and 42 fantasy points against the Suns, and he followed that up with 21 points and 31.75 fantasy points against the Mavs last night. Tonight, he’ll be a good matchup against the Blazers, and he should be a great play at such a cheap price since his salary hasn’t had time to catch up with his recent production. With rumors this morning that Boogie may be out tonight, Cauley-Stein is virtually a must-own given his opportunity and matchup tonight. ∗∗∗∗∗
Chris Andersen-Memphis Grizzlies (3,200): Andersen has only been back for two games from his own shoulder injury, but he played a massive 37 minutes on Friday for Memphis since Zach Randolph is out again with another injury. Andersen had 13 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and 27.25 fantasy points against the Spurs in that matchup and will likely get the call again tonight if Z-Bo is still out (questionable as of this morning). No Z-Bo-∗∗∗∗∗ With Z-Bo-∗∗
