High Value SG

Evan Turner-Boston Celtics (5,900): Turner has been a huge part of Boston’s  four-game turnaround after skidding down the Eastern Conference standings after losing Jae Crowder.  Turner has stalled into the starting lineup for Boston’s last five games and played over 30 minutes in each of those games while averaging 15.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 0.8 blocks, and 0.8 steals.  He had a solid double-double against the Suns on Saturday and has at least 37.25 fantasy points in three of his last four games.  He’s a good play tonight against the Clippers as Boston looks to continue pushing for a better playoff seed. When the Celtics played LA earlier this season, Turner had 14 points, six rebounds, and six assists coming off the bench. ∗∗

Zach LaVine-Minnesota Timberwolves (5,800): LaVine logged just 32 minutes (very low for him) against the Suns in their last meeting but still managed to score 28 points and finish with 34.25 fantasy points. He used that game to start a run of three straight games with over 30 fantasy points and he has at least that many in four of his last six contests.  He struggled on Saturday as the team played with a hangover from Friday night’s double-OT win in Washington.  He should get plenty of minutes tonight against a good matchup, but his non-scoring numbers aren’t as consistent as Booker making him a slightly riskier option for tonight than his Suns’ counterpart.

Wesley Matthews-Dallas Mavericks (5,000): Matthews has at least 12 points in each of his last four games and has added his usual n0n-scoring contributions to get to at least 22 fantasy points in each of those four contests. Matthews takes on the Nuggets tonight who allow the third-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG.  If Deron Williams is still out, Matthews should get plenty of shots, but either way the Mavs need him to step up since they’re dealing with numerous injuries at this point in the season while trying to make a playoff push.∗∗

Rodney Hood-Utah Jazz (5,000): Hood has filled his role nicely in the last few games for the Jazz, but his numbers haven’t been spectacular with Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors doing most of the heavy lifting on offense. Hood has reached double-digit scoring in four of his last five games and has 22 fantasy points or more in five of his last nine.  He is in a great matchup to attack tonight as he faces the Lakers who have allowed more fantasy points to opposing SG than any team in the NBA.  Hood should get god looks tonight, and he has the potential to go off if he finds his rhythm from beyond the arc.

Raymond Felton-Dallas Mavericks (4,300): With Dallas suddenly swamped with injuries, Felton has stepped up nicely with four games of at least 29 fantasy points in his last seven including each of his last two.  Last night, he had 15 points and five assists against the Kings almost matching his total from Friday night with he had 17 points and five assists. Part of his increased success definitely has to do with Deron Williams being sidelined, but he has value even if D-Will returns tonight which doesn’t appear likely. No Williams-∗ With Williams-
