50.
For all intents and purposes, Conklin should be gone by this point. During his time at Michigan State, he was a lights-out performer in both the passing game and the running game, and if we were going into the draft based on collegiate performance alone, he might be the top offensive lineman chosen.

Still, Conklin’s upside is fairly limited to the point where he almost looks like a better fit at right tackle in the NFL versus a premier left tackle type in the mold of Laremy Tunsil or Ronnie Stanley. Detroit would absolutely love to pick up Conklin at this stage, though, as the offensive line has been an issue for the Lions for quite some time (89 sacks allowed during the 2014 and 2015 seasons combined) and Conklin would represent an immediate upgrade on the right side with the possibility of an eventually move to the blind side.

If they don’t go offensive line, there is no shortage of holes to fill on the defensive side of the ball or at wide receiver with Calvin Johnson packing up his cleats during this off-season. The best possible pick for Detroit is Jack Conklin, though, and they would be thrilled if this scenario played out in real time when the draft gets underway in May.
. OT. Michigan State.
