20. player. 30.
I still believe in Noah Spence.

The former Ohio State pass-rusher ended up at Eastern Kentucky to finish his college career after some off-field trouble and, candidly, all signs point to his interview process being something of a struggle in advance of the draft. With that in mind, this would be a big risk for the Jets, but this is also an organization that hasn’t gone away from character issues in the past, and there is no denying Spence’s upside as a football player.

Spence was well on his way to becoming an FBS All-American while at Ohio State, and he was arguably the best defensive player in FCS last season while lighting up the opposition. The production has never been an issue, and while he did not test particularly well at the combine, Spence has a pedigree and undeniable talent in tearing off the edge.

The Jets have two major needs in my opinion and, along with offensive line, pass rush is among them. Between Spence and Georgia outside linebacker Leonard Floyd, New York would have two quality choices in this mock scenario, but Spence is the better football player in my view, even amid all of the question marks.
.
