Best player on every MLB team
Chicago Cubs—Kris Bryant
The Cubs carry a considerable stockpile of talent on their current roster, to say the least. There is the reigning NL Cy Young award winner Jake Arrieta, as well as Anthony Rizzo, an All-Star in each of the past two seasons. Joining them are big ticket additions in Jason Heyward and Ben Zobrist, as well as prodigious young talents such as Kyle Schwarber and Addison Russell. And this is just the tip of the considerable iceberg of players on the game’s most anticipated team headed into the season.
However, it is the team’s former super prospect turned immediate superstar, Kris Bryant, that stands the tallest on the Chicago roster. Bryant delivered on every bit of the considerable hype that he carried into his rookie season, hitting 26 home runs, driving in 99 runs, slugging at a .488 percentage and making his All-Star debut during his first season making the friendly confines of Wrigley Field look even more claustrophobic than they already seemed.
Bryant’s immense swing and the power that often follows it, when combined with an image that is a marketing firm’s dream, puts him on the fast track to be one of the foremost faces in the game. But most importantly, after only one season, he is already the most important player on the National League’s most talent infused roster.
