High Salary PF

LaMarcus Aldridge-San Antonio Spurs (8,600): Trusting Greg Popovich at this time of year is asking for trouble, but Aldridge has been putting together great numbers whenever he’s active, so as long as he isn’t rested tonight against the paper-thin Pelicans he should be a good play. Aldridge had 32 points and 12 rebounds for 56.9 fantasy points against Memphis last Friday then rested Saturday against OKC. He returned on Monday with another huge game against Memphis with 31 points and 13 rebounds for a total of 54.1 fantasy points. Tonight, he’ll be in a great matchup against the Pelicans who he has faced three times this season averaging 27.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, and 1.3 assists.  He’s definitely the best PF money can buy tonight if he gets a typical workload against New Orleans.

Draymond Green-Golden State Warriors (8,500): Green is actually a bargain at under 9K give his recent play.  He has at least 45 fantasy points in four of his last five games including a monster 51.7 fantasy points last night against the Wizards. He had 15 points, 16 rebounds, and nine assists in his 36 minutes falling just short of his second triple-double in a row.  Green will definitely be needed tonight against the size of the Jazz as he battles down low with Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert.  Green is such a diverse contributor that he’s very low-risk as long as the Warriors keep their foot on the gas and keep chasing the best regular season record.

Kristaps Porzingis-New York Knicks (6,900): Porzingis has playing plenty of minutes and putting up nice fantasy points in the stretch run of his first year in the NBA.  He has at least 30 fantasy points in five of his last six games and reached 40 fantasy points in his last matchup against the Pelicans on Monday. Porzingis has 16 points, ten boards, three blocks, two steals, and two assists in that contest, and he’ll be in a good matchup again tonight against the Mavs in Dallas.

Gorgui Dieng-Minnesota Timberwolves (6,400): Dieng has been a huge part of the T-Wolves recent surge.  He had at least 32 fantasy points in six of his last nine games and dropped over 40 in back-to-back games last week.  He should find plenty of room to operate tonight against the Clippers who still don’t have Blake Griffin back. Dieng has posted double-doubles in two of his previous three contests against the Clippers and should be good for another one with about 30 fantasy points tonight.

Alex Len-Phoenix Suns (6,200): Len seemed to flourish sliding back to the four with Tyson Chandler’s return on Monday. He posted his first double-double in six games and posted 32.1 fantasy points on his 14 points and 13 rebounds.  Tonight, he’ll be in a good matchup against the Bucks who allow the fifth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PF and will struggle with the Suns two-center lineup.  Len hadn’t shown much recently before Chandler’s return, but I think he’ll have a good game tonight.
