High Salary SG

James Harden-Houston Rockets (10,900): Harden actually had a bit of a down game in the Rockets win over the Cavs on Tuesday, but he still finished with 44.2 fantasy points in his 44 minutes on 27 points, eight assists, and six rebounds.  He has played at least 40 minutes in each of the Rockets’ last five games and is averaging a crazy 28.6 points, 11.0 assists, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.0 steals in those five games.  He’ll be in another playoff-impacting matchup tonight as he faces the Bulls who he lit up for 36 points to go with eight assists and five rebounds in his first game against this season. “The Beard” is far from a cheap solution, but his regular nights of at least 50 fantasy points make him a solid way to spend a big chunk of your salary cap tonight.∗∗

Victor Oladipo-Orlando Magic (8,200): Oladipo missed two games with a wrist injury, but he was able to return on Tuesday against the Nets.  He only played 26 minutes in that contest, but that was more a result of the score and game situaiont athen any concerns about his injury. As the Magic travel to Indiana tonight, VO will be a high-risk, high-reward option especially since we haven’t seen him carry a full workload since his wrist issue.

Monta Ellis-Indiana Pacers (6,700): When the Pacers hosted Harden and the Rockets, Ellis had an impressive 23 points, seven assists, and six rebounds for 46.7 fantasy points which was a nice bounce-back after just 9.0 fantasy points against the Nets in his previous outing.  Monta now has at least 26 fantasy points in seven of his last eight games and is playing a very involved role for coach Frank Vogel and the Pacers who are currently clinging to the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.  They face the Magic tonight who Ellis had 21 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals against in the teams’ last meeting February 21. He isn’t a sure thing (see the 9.0 fantasy points), but I do like him as a strong play tonight with lots of upside.
