High Value SF

Evan Turner-Boston Celtics (5,900): There’s a huge gap int he salary structure after the elite SF options, but Turner could get one more start tonight before the return of Jae Crowder.  Turner had a disappointing game on Monday against the Clippers with just 12.3 fantasy points, but he had run off four straight with at least 28 fantasy points before that letdown.  In what should be a fun late-game to watch tonight, Turner takes on the Blazers, and the Celtics will need him to return to his productive level if they want to stay with Portland on this first night of their back-to-back.  Check Crowder’s status, but my guess is he’ll return tomorrow since he probably won’t play both halves of the back-to-back. With no Crowder-∗ With Crowder-

Nikola Mirotic-Chicago Bulls (5,000): Mirotic has been the biggest boom-or-bust play in the DFS world lately.  He has had two monster games in his last five with over 40 fantasy points, but his other three games in his last five have all resulted in fewer than 20 fantasy points. He had a giant game on Tuesday against the Pacers with 28 points and ten boards for 41 fantasy points, but on Monday against the Hawks he only managed five points and 11.6 fantasy points. Tonight, he should be in a great matchup against the Rockets who struggle to defend both forward positions. I love Mirotic’s upside, but he is far from a lock to produce since he sometimes almost completely vanishes.

Michael Beasley-Houston Rockets (5,000): Even though Beasley is a pretty volatile option himself, he has been more consistent than Mirotic lately.  On Tuesday, Beas finished with a solid 17 points and eight rebounds on his way to 30.6 fantasy points. He has at leas t26 fantasy points in six of his last nine games and has been a huge boost the the Rockets’ playoff push. Since the Bulls struggle defensively as well, Beasley is a solid play in his current role for the Rockets as their chief scoring option off the bench.

Maurice Harkless-Portland Trail Blazers (4,000): Harkless has stated the last four games for the Blazers and has performed pretty well in each contest.  He has at least 19 fantasy points in all four starts and has scored in double-digits in every one of those outings.  The Celtics are always switching up their frontcourt rotation, but they have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing PF so Harkless should be a nice cheap option if you decide to stay low-budget at SF.

Wesley Johnson-Los Angeles Clippers (3,600): Johnson came through with a solid game for my FanDuel daily picks yesterday staring in pace of Paul Pierce and totaling 18 fantasy points on seven points, five boards, and two blocks.  He’ll get plenty of run again tonight with all the Clippers starters resting, so look for Johnson to fill an even bigger role in the offense.
