High Value PF

Aaron Gordon-Orlando Magic (5,700): Gordon’s production has still been a little inconsistent lately, but he is getting good playing time with at least 27 minutes in each of his last five games and 24 or more fantasy points in four of those five matchups.  He takes on the Pacers tonight in Indy and he did have a double-double the last time he faced Indiana with 11 points and 11 rebounds while adding three assist, three steals, and a block. Gordon still isn’t quite a lock, but he’s a solid play since his price is back under 6K.

Ed Davis-Portland Trail Blazers (4,600): It would be fascinating to see what Ed Davis could do if he got regular playing time on a consistent basis.  He’s always produced good per-minute numbers, and has been especially effective for Portland lately with at least 22 fantasy points in seven straight contests.  He had three straight games of at least 29 fantasy points before slowing down to 22.8 fantasy points against the Kings on Monday, and he should find success tonight against the Celtics if he gets 20+ minutes on the floor. Coach Terry Stotts has been inconsistent with his frontcourt rotation throughout the season, though, so it’s hard to count on Davis too much since he could end up with just 12 minutes like he had when the Blazers played Boston earlier this season.

Amir Johnson-Boston Celtics (4,300): Johnson has struggled in his last two games against the Suns and Clippers, but he had been rolling before that with three straight games of over 30 fantasy points as a strong presence down low. His plantar fasciitis looks to be behind him, and if he gets 25-30 minutes tonight against the Blazers I like him to return to his previous level of production against Portland who has had difficulty with opposing big men all season.

Dante Cunningham-New Orleans Pelicans (3,700): Cunningham has played at least 36 minutes in each of his last four games and is getting all the work he can handle with Anthony Davis, Ryan Anderson, Alonzo Gee, Jrue Holiday, Eric Gordon, Tyreke Evans, and Norris Cole all lost to injury.  Cunningham has scored in double digits in each os his last two games as a result and has at least 16 fantasy points in five of his last seven.  He’s a flier who probably won’t go off, but he should be able to give you something tonight against the Nuggets who have allowed the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PF this season.
