High Salary C

Hassan Whiteside-Miami Heat (8,700): Whiteside has been phenomenal coming off the bench for the Heat and has at least 41 fantasy points in three straight games against the Magic, Nets, and Lakers.  On Wednesday, Whiteside had 18 points, 17 boards, and seven blocks on his way to 49.4 fantasy points. Tonight, he’s in another good matchup against the Kings who won’t have DeMarcus Cousins.  While Cousins isn’t a great defender himself, the Kings will be that much thinner up front leaving more work for Whiteside who should be on fire again tonight.

Brook Lopez-Brooklyn Nets (7,600): Lopez rested last night, but he’s expected to be available tonight as he and the Nets take on his brother Robin Lopez and the Knicks.  Brook has averaged 24.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.3 blocks in his three games against the Knicks this season, so as long as he’s fully healthy and cleared to play he’ll be a solid play at this price with the potential to go off for 50+ fantasy points if he has one of his better games.

Jonas Valanciunas-Toronto Raptors (6,000): Valanciunas is back to playing his full share of minutes after another hand injury scare that cost in four games earlier this month.  He has at least 30 fantasy points in three of his last four games and went off for 46.6 fantasy points against Houston when he finished with 16 points and 18 boards.  Big V should be a solid play tonight as he takes on the Grizzlies who have been totally demolished by injuries especially down low.
