High Salary SF

LeBron James-Cleveland Cavaliers (10,100): LeBron only had to play 31 minutes last night against the Nets finishing with 24 points, 11 assists, four boards, and two steals for 45.3 fantasy points. He has at least 42 fantasy points in four straight contests, and is a solid play if you think he’ll get his full workload tonight in Atlanta.  It’s hard to know how the Cavs will play tonight against the current-#3 in the East Hawks. They could look to make a statement against a potential playoff foe or instead play it close to the vest in order to not give any plans away. Early reports are that all the Cavs’ stars will play, so you can plan on LeBron in your lineup as he faces the Hawks for the second time this season.  In his first game against Atlanta, James had 19 points, 11 boards, and eight assists, and since he’s in playoff mode he should be a solid play tonight.

Carmelo Anthony-New York Knicks (8,700): Anthony has crushed the Nets in his career and has averaged 25 points, seven boards, 4.5 assists, and 2.5 steals against them in his two games against them this season.  He also comes into tonight with some solid momentum after scoring at least 24 points in five straight games posting at least 40 fantasy points in three of his last four. The Nets have allowed the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF in their last ten contests, so look for a big ‘Melo night as long he doesn’t get too distracted by his Orange in the game later tonight.

Nicolas Batum-Charlotte Hornets (8,100): Batum was a beast on Tuesday against the Sixers finishing with 19 points, 12 assists, and 11 boards on his way to 49.2 fantasy points. He has at least 47 fantasy points in each of his last two games and in three of his last six.  He is producing very nice and well-balanced lines right now for the Hornets and is a solid play if you can afford his 8K salary tonight as he faced the Sixers once again.

Gordon Hayward-Utah Jazz (6,900): Hayward had 33.5 fantasy points last week against the Wolves on 18 points, five boards, five assists, and a pair of blocks.  He followed that with two games of over 28 fantasy points against the Lakers and Warriors to start the Jazz homestand earlier this week.  Tonight, he’ll face Minnesota again which sets him up for a solid game.  He has at least 27 fantasy points in five of his last six games since returning from a foot injury, so look for him to be around 30 fantasy points again tonight making him a solid option at this price point.

Robert Covington-Philadelphia 76ers (6,500): Covington had a big game on the other side of that same matchup on Tuesday scoring 18 points to go with seven boards, three steals, and a pair of assists.  He had 35.4 fantasy points giving him at least 30 fantasy points in four games in a row since returning from his concussion.  Covington is one of the best offensive options the struggling Sixers have, so look for him to continue his streaky scoring tonight making him the best play in the 6K’s at SF.
