Phoenix Suns

The Suns essentially thought they could win LaMarcus Aldridge last summer and missed. They traded Marcus Morris, brother of starting power forward Markeiff without notice, and essentially said LaMarcus would take his job when signed. That led to a poor start and compounded by injuries to Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight, the team sank into a top five pick.

What that also led to was the finding of rookie Devin Booker and his talent as one of the best first-year men this year. He hasn’t even had full-time with guys who can play like Knight and Bledsoe, but is showing he belongs in the NBA.

Their stretch four at the moment is Mizra Teletovic who is a free agent this year. It frees up not only money but also playing time, and a good chance at a starting role.

They can sell him on the idea that Booker only tightened up a young guard core, and with Alex Len emerging over Tyson Chandler next to him, all they need is a top-three pick to put it all together.

Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram definitely fit in Phoenix. Then you see a stretch four like Anderson, a few guards, and a few more big men. If they cannot hit the top two wings do they add the project stretch four, re-sign Teletovic cheaper and have a guy like TJ Warren put time in at that role which he does already?

They could then go on the market with the money for a wing to put it together, maybe a Rudy Gay type? It is a thought, but they could definitely take a look at Anderson this offseason, as his position will be addressed nonetheless.
