The Ravens need to add depth at corner. Jimmy Smith is their lone solid corner. The rest of the guys who they have at corner right now are at best depth options. One of William Jackson III or Mackensie Alexander will most likely fall to Baltimore in the second round. Jackson has better size than Alexander so between the two, Alexander is the most likely to fall. Baltimore will happily take the talented corner in the second round.

Alexander has drawn comparisons to Josh Norman due to his intensity and anticipation. He might not be quite the corner that Norman is, but watch Alexander and there are definitely elements of Norman in his game. Alexander is fundamentally sound and very quick. He showed the ability to take on bigger receivers in college. Critics will point to his zero interceptions, but it’s hard to get interceptions if everyone’s scared to throw anywhere near you.

If it’s Jackson who falls to the Ravens, they’ll be happy with him too. But of the players who could plausibly be available at the 36th pick, Alexander is the guy who the Ravens should go after. He has everything it takes to be a great corner and he’s a nice complement to Smith.
