Baltimore already has Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil. However, Suggs is turning 34 years old and Dumervil is a situational pass rusher at this stage in his career. Za’Darius Smith was a pleasant surprise but the Ravens definitely need to add some pass rushers. If nothing else, it should significantly help their secondary. Deion Jones has the highest ceiling of the remaining pass rushers.

While Jones is lacking in experience (only started one game before his final season with the Tigers), he makes up for it with his athleticism and his instincts. He will do well with the Ravens, who have a strong defensive line and should keep linemen busy, giving Jones what he needs to be dominant.

Jones will need to develop a little bit but he could make an immediate impact on a Baltimore defense that needs playmakers. Baltimore used to have a defense that everybody feared. Nobody fears Baltimore’s defense as is. Jones would help them get back to being feared. He has what it takes to be a three down player, but even if his run defense doesn’t develop as planned, he should be an excellent pass rusher.

The Ravens future would be set with Za’Darius Smith and Jones as the replacements for Suggs and Dumervil.
