High Salary PG

Kyle Lowry-Toronto Raptors (7,500): There aren’t any ultra-elite PG in action tonight, and the options at the top of the salary structure are both in bad matchups. If I did choose one of the expensive options, I’d go with Lowry over Lillard since Lillard has been struggling so much and the Heat shut down opposing PG very effectively.  Lowry is in a tough matchup too as he takes on the Spurs in San Antonio.  He has had his ups and downs lately  with just one game over 40 fantasy points in his last six contests.  He’s the top big-money play of the night the position and can definitely produce if his shot starts dropping and he ends up playing against San Antonio’s backups, but it looks like a good night to go cheap at PG.

Goran Dragic-Miami Heat (6,700): Dragic is my favorite play over 6K tonight as he leads the Heat into Portland.  Last night, he had 18 points and seven assists while helping the Heat beat the Kings even though they didn’t have Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh. Gerald Green stepped up and carried a lot of the scoring load, but Dragic still posted a solid 31.5 fantasy points. He has at least 30 fantasy points in six of his last seven games, and he should be counted on to carry a lot of the Miami offensive workload again tonight since Wade probably won’t be ready to return. With no Wade-∗ With Wade-

Ish Smith-Philadelphia 76ers (6,100): Smith did not have a great game last night finishing with only 18.25 fantasy points on four points in 32 minutes against the Hornets.  However, he had been playing much better before that with at least 25 fantasy points in six straight including at least 33 in each of his last three games. He’ll look to bounce back from last night’s burn as he faces the Pacers tonight back at home in Philadelphia where he tends to post better numbers.
