High Salary SF

Paul George-Indiana Pacers (8,700): George is one of the hardest calls to make on the board for tonight. On one hand, he has been playing well with at least 40 fantasy points in each of his last three games and five of his last nine. He had 27 points, eight rebounds, and five steals against the Magic finishing with 51 fantasy points. The downside to playing PG13 tonight is that he only had 31 fantasy points against the Sixers the last time he played them, and when games get one-sided early coach Frank Vogel tends to rest his stars as much as possible. Since there are so few high-salary options, George is a good play tonight, but he definitely isn’t’ a lock to produce even though he has been very good lately. ∗∗∗

Kawhi Leonard-San Antonio Spurs (7,600): Leonard is another tricky option for tonight but because of totally different reasons.  Kawhi sat out three games before returning on Wednesday with 16 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals for 40 fantasy points even though he only played 22 minutes in the Spurs blowout win over the Pelicans.  Leonard definitely has the potential to produce huge numbers but with his injury, his coach, and his price there is a lot of risk involved as he takes on the Raptors tonight.∗

Rudy Gay-Sacramento Kings (6,400): Gay had one of his best games in a long time last night with a double-double in 40 minutes against Miami pulling in 13 rebounds to go with 20 points on his way to 41.25 fantasy points. With Cousins and Rondo both sidelined tonight, Gay should get plenty of work on the offensive end again tonight, so look for another solid game as the Kings and Nuggets play in what could be one of the better fantasy games of the night. In the Kings earlier matchups this season with Denver, Gay had a pair of good games scoring 24 points at home against the Nuggets and then posting a 16-point, ten-rebound double-double in Denver.  He’ll look to build on last night’s game and post a similar line tonight.∗∗∗∗
