High Salary SG

Jimmy Butler-Chicago Bulls (7,800): Butler is rounding into form and had his best game since his return on Thursday night in Houston scoring 21 points to go with eight boards and six assists for a solid 42.6 fantasy points. He was putting up those kinds of numbers all the time before his injury, so its good to see him get over 40 fantasy points for the first time in his last ten contests.  He has been solid, though, even before his breakout last game with at least 29 fantasy points in seven of his last ten. He will need to step of in an important matchup for Chicago tonight as they continue their playoff chase.  He has been good against Detroit in his three prior games against them this season averaging 27.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.3 steals. He’s the top player that I’d spend on tonight at the SG spot.

C.J. McCollum-Portland Trail Blazers (7,000): McCollum battled a tough Boston defense on Thursday in one of the more fun games to watch this season.  He ended up with 35 fantasy points on 17 points, eight assists, and five rebounds as well as a block and a steal.  He has at least 35 fantasy points in five of his last eight games, and he should be in a matchup to attack if D-Wade is out again tonight and the Heat go with Gerald Green and Josh Richardson at the two-guard instead.  In my mind McCollum doesn’t have quite the high-end upside that Butler has, but he’s a very solid pick in a good matchup in the late game tonight.
