FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-April 2
High Value SF
Marcus Morris-Detroit Pistons (5,700): Morris had a huge game last night in Detroit’s tough loss to Dallas. Morris played 40 minutes and totaled 57.4 fantasy points on 31 points, 12 boards, and four assists. He has scored at least 20 points in three of his last four games and in five of his last eight. He has at least 25 fantasy points in each of his last six games including over 35 in each of his last two. Tonight, Morris and the Pistons face the Bulls in a critical Eastern Conference matchup. Expect him to log big minutes again as he faces Chicago for the fourth time this season. In his previous three matchups with the Bulls, he has averaged 21.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.∗∗∗∗
Al-Farouq Aminu-Portland Trail Blazers (5,400): Another SF who has stepped up for his team in a playoff hunt has been Aminu who dropped 28 points on the Celtics on Thursday finishing with 47.3 fantasy points since he added in nine boards and three blocks. Aminu has at least 28 fantasy points in four of his last five, though, so it wasn’t a total fluke. He struggled with his offensive game for much of the season but has scored in double-digits in five of his last six games, and he’ll look to step up again tonight as the Blazers try to beat the Heat. ∗∗∗
Nikola Mirotic-Chicago Bulls (5,300): Taj Gibson is expected to return tonight which takes a bit of the shine off of Miroric’s matchup with the Pistons, but given the forward’s recent production he should still get plenty of playing time. Mirotic scored 28 points for the second game in a row on Thursday in Houston finishing with 38.3 fantasy points. He has three games with at least that many in his last six contests, but he has finished under 20 fantasy points in his other three games. He’s totally a boom-or-bust play tonight, but his upside is huge for someone priced under 6K. Of the three SF in the value section so far, Mirotic has the highest upside but also the most risk. ∗∗
Maurice Harkless-Portland Trail Blazers (4,100): Harkless continues to get starts at PF for the Blazers and should match up well against the Heat who don’t have a ton of size up front with Chris Bosh out. Harkless has at least 22 fantasy points in four of his five games since moving to the starting lineup, but his minutes are still uncertain since the Blazers are using a rotation up front including Ed Davis and Noah Vonleh at the PF spot. Harkless is a solid play if you have to go cheap, but he doesn’t have quite the upside as the other SF in this section.∗∗∗
