18. . East. Atlantic. Boston Celtics. 3. player

While playing time will be scarce with the Boston Celtics for Jenkins, going from Wright to Celtics head coach Brad Stevens is about as good of a college to pro jump a player can make from a coaching standpoint. When Jenkins does get on the court for Stevens, he’ll be featured in a way that Stevens will know Jenkins can succeed in.

Though Boston has too many 2016 NBA Draft picks, frankly the Celtics already have an embarrassment of riches in their backcourt on what is already a top five team in the Eastern Conference. Point guard Isaiah Thomas is an All-Star, Avery Bradley and Marcus Smart are emerging defensive gurus. R.J. Hunter is a young sharpshooter and a former first round pick. Even Evan Turner is playing well for the Celtics in 2015-16.

That being said, the Celtics are always willing to make a deal and that could mean that any of their player currently on their young and enticing roster could be playing elsewhere in 2016-17. Outside of maybe small forward Jae Crowder, who else on the Celtics roster is safe from trade going forward?

Stevens’ system in place in Boston is undeniable and a well-groomed collegiate star like Jenkins would fit in very well with the Celtics. Since Stevens’ arrival, he and general manager Danny Ainge have loved to draft players that have spent more than one year playing college hoops (Smart, Hunter, Kelly Olynyk, Jared Sullinger, etc.). Is Jenkins the next seasoned college star to suit up for the Celtics?
