The Browns have three picks in the fifth round. It is here that they can gamble a little and draft players for depth. Drafting Fahn Cooper the offensive lineman from Ole Miss would be a selection where the team could potentially take a player that could develop into a starter, but more likely will become a solid backup.

Cooper started his college career at Bowling Green. However, Cooper desired to play for a large university. The following season he transferred to a junior college where he played for a season before Ole Miss recruited him to become a Rebel.

After playing at the right tackle position his Junior year, Cooper split times at both tackle positions. Due to a teammates suspension, Cooper covered the left tackle position for seven games. After his teammate was reinstated, Cooper went back to his native position on the right side.

Cooper displayed toughness and a willingness to get dirty (a trait that GM’s love). He also showed that he has the size and strength to play in the NFL.

The biggest question marks for Cooper come from his lack of passing blocking skills. If he wants to be a household name then he will need to raise his pass blocking skills to the level of his running blocking.
