High Value SF

P.J. Tucker-Phoenix Suns (5,400): Tucker is one of the last Suns still standing in a season that has been demolished by injury in Phoenix. Tucker has played well in his last five games, though, averaging 13.4 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.2 steals in over 35 minutes a night. Tucker and the Suns are in Atlanta tonight to face the Hawks who he had 16 points and six boards against earlier this season, so I expect him to keep right on producing. He has at least 27 fantasy points in six of his last eight games, so he’s actually a little under-priced probably due to the fact that so few people realize there is any value left on the Suns.

Nikola Mirotic-Chicago Bulls (5,100): Mirotic is exemplifying “boom-or-bust” for the Bulls and his fantasy owners.  Mirotic has at least 29 fantasy points in three of his last four, but on the other hand has less than 20 fantasy points in three of his last six.  He is high-risk, high-reward even in a good matchup against the Grizzlies tonight.

Luke Babbitt-New Orleans Pelicans (5,000): Like the Suns, the Pelicans are running out of players due to so many injuries which has allowed other players to step up and deliver.  Babbitt has been one of the most productive Pelicans lately with double-digit scoring in seven of his last eight games and over 20 points in each of his last two.  Babbitt totaled 41.5 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Thursday and followed that up with 30 fantasy points against the Nets on Sunday.  He should be a solid buy tonight as the Pelicans take on the 76ers who have been a mess on defense all season and have allowed the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF over their last five games.∗∗

Kent Bazemore-Atlanta Hawks (4,500): Another team which has been a great matchup all season for SF has been the Phoenix Suns who are in Atlanta tonight making Kent Bazemore an interesting option at under 5K.  Bazemore had 34.4 fantasy points on Friday against Cleveland with a well-balanced seven points, 12 boards, six assists, and three blocks. He’s playing through a sore wrist, but the Hawks have plenty to play for, and in this matchup he’s still a solid option as long as he doesn’t get rested.

Maurice Harkless-Portland Trail Blazers (4,400): Harkless continues to be a good cheap sleeper to take a look at as he continues to start for the Blazers. Harkless played 30 minutes on Sunday finishing with 15 points and ten boards against the Warriors.  He has been playing well over his last five games averaging 13.2 points and 7.0 rebounds. Tonight, he’ll take on the Kings whose size could present a bit of a problem for Harkless who tends to excel in small ball situations. Harkless is turning into a nice part of the Portland rotation, and he’s a good cheap play tonight.
