New York Mets minority owner Bill Maher is not a fan of reigning NL MVP Bryce Harper.

Television personality Bill Maher is a minority owner of the New York Mets. Maher is not a fan of the Washington Nationals, so he isn’t that fond of Bryce Harper. Harper has probably done enough things to hurt the Mets that their minority owner would hate him.

“There’s a couple of words that I really can’t say on public radio that I think apply to him, but next to them I see a picture of Bryce Harper,” said Maher, via New York Daily News. “He’s a d—–bag. He looks like a d—–bag. I just don’t like him.”

Understandable that Maher wouldn’t like Harper. That’s like asking a Boston Red Sox fan if they like Aaron Boone or a New York Yankees fan if they like David Ortiz. However, at least Maher was willing to admit that he wouldn’t mind having Harper on his team.

“Of course, if he was a Met, I’d love him,” he said. “I could learn to love Bryce Harper.”

Harper is the reigning National League Most Valuable Player after having one of the best seasons by any hitter ever, and arguably the best ever by someone under 24 years old.
