DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-April 6
High Salary PG
Russell Westbrook-Oklahoma City Thunder (10,600): Westbrook had a triple-double in just 27 minutes last night in Denver totaling 55.5 fantasy points on 13 points, 14 rebounds, 12 assists, and two steals. He has at least that many fantasy points in five of his last six contests, and he’ll be in a nice duel tonight with Damian Lillard in what would be a juicy first-round PG showdown. The Thunder are not expected to rest any of their starters tonight, but double check before roster lock to make sure Westbrook is still expected to be active.∗∗∗
Damian Lillard-Portland Trail Blazers (8,700): Lillard and his backcourt-mate C.J. McCollum carried the Blazers to a nice win last night in Sacramento, and now he comes home to battle Russ and the Thunder. Lillard had 22 points and eight assists last night on his way to 40 fantasy points and had an even better game on Sunday against the Warriors when he scored 38 points on his way to 49.75 fantasy points. Lillard has faced the Thunder three times this season and is averaging 24 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.0 assists. In his home game against OKC, he posted 31 points, nine assists, and seven boards, and I think he’s lined up for a big game tonight since the Thunder have struggled all year to defend opposing PG. ∗∗∗∗∗
Isaiah Thomas-Boston Celtics (7,800): The Celtics are a little risky tonight since I’m not sure how competitive the Pelicans will be after dropping last nights’ game in Philadelphia. Thomas could end up with limited minutes if the game gets out of control early, but he should get enough points early in that scenario. He has scored at least 20 points in each of his last ten teams with six assists in each of his last two games powering him to at least 30 fantasy points. He has at least that many fantasy points in six of his last eight games, and should be near that level tonight as long as it doesn’t get too ugly too early. ∗∗
J.J. Barea-Dallas Mavericks (6,100): With Deron Williams still without a timetable to return, it’s the J.J. Barea show in Dallas right now. Barea has stepped up huge for Dallas and has at least 35 fantasy points in five of his last six games after scoring 21 points to go with six assists against his former team in his return to Minnesota on Sunday. He is a key part of the Mavericks attack with all their injuries and he’s a solid play tonight although he will have to deal with the tenacious defense of Patrick Beverley in a huge game for both the Mavericks and the Rockets tonight. ∗∗∗∗
