FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-April 6
High Salary PF
Dirk Nowitzki-Dallas Mavericks (7,100): Dirk managed just 18.3 fantasy points on Sunday in Minnesota and has been held under 20 fantasy points in three of his last five contests. He does have some interesting upside tonight, though, as he and the Mavs play their very important matchup against the Rockets. Dirk has averaged 17.5 points and 6.5 boards in his two games against Houston this season, but the Rockets have allowed the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PF which sets up well for Dirk to rise to the occasion once again for the Mavs in a huge matchup at home in Dallas. ∗∗
Julius Randle-Los Angeles Lakers (6,600): I was high on Randle last night but he missed all six of his field goal attempts and finished with just four points to go with his 12 boards and four assists to get to just 23.4 fantasy points. Randle had been rolling before that with 34 fantasy points in five of his pervious eight games including five double-doubles and his first career triple-double which came two weeks ago against the Nuggets. The Clippers shut him down last night with Blake Griffin, but the latest rumblings are that Blake will probably sit tonight and there’s a possibility the matchup will read a lot differently for Randle. He’s not a lock, but he has a ton of upside.∗∗∗
Tobias Harris-Detroit Pistons (6,400): Harris returns to Orlando tonight after the team shipped him out at the trade deadline. He had 31.3 fantasy points when he faced the Magic in Detroit two weeks ago, and he should be motivated to bring it to them again tonight. Harris has been huge lately for Detroit with at least 30 fantasy points in five of his last seven contests and 21 points in three of his last five games. He’s a solid scorer and a multi-category contributor making him a good play against his former team tonight. ∗∗∗∗
Thomas Robinson-Brooklyn Nets (6,000): With Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young shut down for the season, TomRob will get plenty of playing time down the stretch, and so far he has looked great. Robinson has posted four straight double-doubles with at least 26 fantasy points in each outing. He could be finally delivering on that sky-high draft stock, but regardless of his long-term outlook he’s a good play tonight against the Wizards.∗∗∗∗∗
