Jacksonville Jaguars: 2016 7-round NFL mock draft
By John Buhler
If Jacksonville really wants to give Bortles a chance to become a star in the NFL, the Jaguars again may want to double-down in this 2016 NFL Draft and go with another interior offensive lineman with their fourth round selection at No. 103 by taking Arkansas Razorbacks guard Sebastian Tretola.
Tretola spent the last few years playing in essentially an offensive line factory in Fayetteville. His head coach at Arkansas Bret Bielema is one of the best offensive line head coaches in the Power 5. Tretola’s offensive line coach Sam Pittman is well on his way to becoming the best offensive line coach in the country, now on Kirby Smart’s staff at Georgia.
Besides his obvious size, Tretola his impressive footwork and a desire to compete against the best defensive linemen in the country. He more than held his own playing in the SEC West against whatever teams like Alabama, LSU, and Ole Miss would throw his way.
Offensive linemen that play in Bielema’s offense are ready to contribute at the next level in terms of both pass protection and especially run blocking. It may take a few years for the Jaguars to fully tap into Tretola’s potential up front, but he does have a high ceiling as an interior offensive lineman that projects as a fourth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
