Just for safe measure, the Jaguars should consider going with a swing tackle with their last of eight draft selections in the 2016 NFL Draft by taking Washington State Cougars offensive tackle Joe Dahl with the No. 226 pick in the seventh round.

Dahl played both guard and left tackle for Mike Leach’s Cougars in the Pac-12 after transferring from Montana in 2012. He started all 12 of the Cougars’ games in 2014, allowing only one sack in 771 passing attempts, earning an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention.

White Washington State earned a bowl bid in 2015, Dahl missed most of the season with a broken foot. That injury along with not having the prototypical length and size for a blindside offensive tackle is what is probably making him a seventh round draft projection at this point.

However since he did play both guard and tackle in Leach’s Air Raid offense in Pullman the last two years, Dahl will probably fit in quite nicely in the aerial attack being employed in North Florida with the Jaguars. Since offensive line is far from a sure thing in Jacksonville, it would be wise for the Jaguars to use their final of eight picks in the 2016 NFL Draft on Dahl out of Washington State.
