Soccer – FC Barcelona (2008-09 season-2011-12 season)

In the world of international soccer, there are plenty of teams who have an argument for making the cut (including several eras for Manchester United and AC Milan). When you look at what this club did for one four-year period, it’s easy to see why Barca got the honor.

For three of the four seasons, the Lionel Messi-led club won the La Liga title while twice winning the Copa del Rey title as the top team in Spain. When it came to competition throughout Europe, Barca left no doubt they could hang with the best teams.

Twice over this four-year span, FC Barcelona won the Champions League while making it to the semifinals the other two years. From 2009-10 to 2011-12, Barca won Supercopa de Espana all three seasons while twice winning both the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Coming off a Champions League title last season, don’t be surprised if we see another four-year dynasty period in the very near future from one of the top soccer teams in the entire world.
