California. Ivan Rabb. 12. player. 66.
The Suns are regularly using lineups with two centers at the moment, which suggests they could use some front court depth. Ivan Rabb increasingly seems like the most attractive selection in this spot. He’s 19 years old and already stands 6-11 with a 7-2 wingspan. In order to effectively play the center spot in the NBA, Rabb needs to add some muscle to his 220-pound frame, but that will come as he is given more time to commit to his craft.

Rabb was very productive for Cal this season, averaging 17.5 points and 11.9 rebounds per 40 minutes. He has flashed a face-up game in the mid-range, where he can knock down jumpers or attack off the dribble, to compliment a nice array of post moves. With time, it’s possible that Rabb will be able to extend his range beyond the three-point line. His defensive counting stats, in particular his 4.1 percent block rate, aren’t the most exciting numbers, but he helped anchor a top 20 defense that ranked second nationally in two-point defense at 41.5 percent.

Rabb’s fit in Phoenix makes sense from both a talent and fit perspective. With a few years of experience, he could develop into a versatile offensive threat that won’t be a negative on the defensive end of the floor.

To learn more about Ivan Rabb, <a href=.
