Tyler Ulis. 14. player. 24.
This is the perfect marriage of need and narrative for the Bulls. Ulis played his high school basketball in Chicago and the Bulls are badly in need of some help at point guard to at least back up Derrick Rose, if not replace him long-term.

There are legitimate concerns about Ulis’s size. At 5-9, he would be one of the smallest players in the league. Boston’s Isaiah Thomas is the only NBA player that height having a significant impact on the league at the moment. That Ulis is even being considered this high is a testament to just how good he was a sophomore at Kentucky. In his second season in Lexington, Ulis averaged 18.8 points and 7.6 assists per 40 minutes and finished with a true shooting percentage of 56.7 percent. While his three-point percentage dipped this season, Ulis showed off more creative finishing around the basket and raised his two-point percentage by nearly 10 points.

Ulis’s skill set seems good enough to allow him to overcome his size disadvantage in the NBA, even if that means he is nothing more than a productive rotation point guard for years to come.

To learn more about Tyler Ulis, <a href=.
