No. 4 – Denver is a better environment and situation for Johnny Manziel

Cleveland has gone through a championship drought of epic proportions. They hated LeBron James, then loved him again, then hate him already before he has even left again. It’s the Bermuda Triangle for athletes who come into the city with an ounce of talent.

Denver, meanwhile, is coming off a Super Bowl title in their second appearance in the game over the last three seasons. There will be pressure from a fan base that has tasted victory and wants more, but it’s not going to be the “you have to be the savior” mentality that Manziel had to deal with in Cleveland.

Manziel made it clear that his goal is to return to his home state of Texas and play for the Dallas Cowboys. While it seems that won’t be happening anytime soon, Denver is a lot closer to Dallas when it comes to the culture and mentality of their football fans than what Cleveland was.

Plus, the Broncos can convince Manziel that it’s just an hour and 45-minute flight from Denver to Las Vegas, which could be a selling point for the quarterback.
