No. 2 – The options are pretty bleak

Denver was hit with a double shot of bad news at the quarterback position when Peyton Manning retired and Brock Osweiler signed a huge deal to leave for the Houston Texans. Over the last month, it has been a wild ride trying to find their replacement.

Right now, if the season started today, Mark Sanchez would be the starter for the Denver Broncos in their 2016 season opener. For all the bad things surround Manziel, he hasn’t had nearly as bad a time on the field as Sanchez has. If Mr. Butt-Fumble is your only option to be the starter, you might be in more trouble than originally thought.

With the ongoing drama surrounding whether the team will get Colin Kaepernick from the San Francisco 49ers (and after flirting with RG3 before he signed with Cleveland), Manziel is looking more and more like a reasonable option for the upcoming season.

A Mark Sanchez vs. Manziel battle might be the worst QB competition in the history of the league, but it might also be the funniest.
