Bill Simmons relentlessly trolled his former ESPN colleague Stephen A. Smith during one of Smith’s rants.

Bill Simmons was let go by ESPN in May of 2015 after a successful stint running his Grantland website. Since his departure, Simmons has been very critical of ESPN and their practices. Like many people, Simmons does not like his former ESPN colleague Stephen A. Smith.

So Simmons used one of Smith’s rants about former Philadelphia 76ers general manager Sam Hinkie to troll him hardcore on Facebook.

Smith was blasting Sam Hinkie and the Philadelphia 76ers on First Take Thursday morning. Simmons didn’t agree with Smith’s take that Hinkie was “ruining lives.” No matter how bad Hinkie was at his job, it’s hard to say that he was actually ruining lives considering everything else that is going on in the world. Bill Simmons had enough of Smiths’ antics and decided to bluntly call him out on it.

This kind of commentary is why Simmons was likely let go by ESPN in the first place. Simmons likes to play by his own rules and he’s very opinionated. Regardless of how you feel about the former Grantland editor, you have to respect that he’s sticking it to his former employer who shouldn’t have fired him in the first place.
