High Value PF

Alex Len-Phoenix Suns (5,700): Len is in a great matchup against the Rockets who have allowed the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PF. Len has been playing plenty of minutes but hasn’t had a lot of production lately which is why his price has dropped below 6K. He has been held under 25 fantasy points in each of his last three games, but he posted a very impressive 12 points and 18 boards the only time he faced the Rockets this year, and is a solid boom-or-bust play tonight.

Mirza Teletovic-Phoenix Suns (5,100): Another player who could take advantage of the iffy Rockets defense, Mirza Teletovic has stepped up for the Suns with at least 25 fantasy points in each of his last five games including a game with 38.9 fantasy points against the Wizards last Friday when he had a 24-point, 12-rebound double-double. Teletovic is a streaky shooter, but the Suns are so badly in need of offense that he’s a play worth taking a long look at tonight in what could be a high-scoring game in Houston.

Willie Cauley-Stein-Sacramento Kings (5,000): Cauley-Stein has played over 34 minutes in his last two games finishing with 34.3 fantasy points and 23 fantasy points agains the Nuggets and Blazers.  Tonight, he’ll take on the T-Wolves who have a pair of their own young bigs to match up with him and his frontcourt mate DeMarcus Cousins. Cauley-Stein is getting unexpended look for Sacramento and has had mixed results.  He has been able to produce at least 30 fantasy points in four of his last seven games but had been held under 25 fantasy points in the other three. Those numbers make him a high-upside but high-risk consideration for tonight.

Patrick Patterson-Toronto Raptors (4,000): Patterson has been solid since returning from an ankle injury that cost him a couple games back in March.  He has played at least 20 minutes in his seven games since then with at least 21 fantasy points in five of his last six including the last time he and the Raptors faced tonight’s opponents-the Hawks.  In that game, Patterson played 33 minutes and totaled nine points, seven rebounds, and three assists for 22.9 fantasy points. He’s a lower risk play than Cauley-Stein or Portis, but he doesn’t have quite as much upside either.

Bobby Portis-Chicago Bulls (3,700): Another high-risk young PF, Bobby Portis should be able to get playing time tonight against the Heat with Taj Gibson battling cracked ribs.  Portis did have 25.9 fantasy points on 12 points and seven rebounds against the Grizz, but he’s burned almost every DFS player at some point this season with his boom or bust games.
