Playing for a scary Urban Meyer-led Florida Gators program from 2006-08, Percy Harvin became one of many athletic threats on the team. He even helped Florida win the national title in 2008 because of his versatility and ability to give defenses another weapon to focus on.

Deciding to declare for the NFL after his junior season, Harvin looked like one of those slot receiver types who could burn defenders deep with his impressive speed. Heck, at the NFL combine, he ran a 4.41 40-yard dash and wowed scouts. Harvin was then chosen No. 22 overall in the 2009 NFL Draft.

Harvin seemed to get off with a bang during his rookie season as he played in 15 games, catching 60 passes for 790 yards and six touchdowns. He even increased his numbers in year two, catching 71 passes for 868 yards and five scores in 14 games.

By 2011, he looked like one of the league’s bright young stars. Harvin put up his career-highs in just about every category. He caught 87 passes for 967 yards and six touchdowns. That would be the last full season he would play for the next four years.

Harvin played just nine games in 2012 but put up solid numbers. He missed time due to an ankle injury, but that was just the start of his issues. He played just one game in 2013 with his new team, the Seattle Seahawks, thanks to hip issues as well as a concussion.

This past season, Harvin joined the Bills and was placed on injured reserve yet again. He’s currently a free agent and teams are scared away by his high risk of injury.
