No. 4 – Atlanta Falcons at Miami Dolphins (August 25th on NBC)

Traditionally, the third preseason game on the schedule is when starters play the most and teams treat the game as a dress rehearsal for the upcoming season. It’s the week where you will see the best from each team and find out who is ready for the 2016 campaign.

The Falcons are heading into the 2016 season wanting to take over the NFC South from last year’s Super Bowl representative from the conference, the Carolina Panthers. An 8-8 finish in 2015 was unacceptable to many in the franchise, and this will be the game you see if the Dirty Birds can get back to being a playoff team.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins are on what seems to be their 26th coach in the last decade (okay, Adam Gase is just the 7th coach since the 2006 season started, but you get my point). This will be the game that shows whether Ryan Tannehill is finally ready to be one of the league’s premier quarterbacks and if a once proud Miami team can even get back to being in the same conversation as the word “playoffs”.
