No. 1 – Dallas Cowboys at Los Angeles Rams (August 13th on ESPN)

After 21 seasons away from the City of Angels, the NFL makes its return when the Rams host this preseason opener for both teams. It’s expected to be a wild scene inside the L.A. Coliseum, where the team will be playing for the next three seasons as their mega-stadium in Inglewood is being built for the 2019 season.

For the NFL, it was a no brainer to have the Rams open their preseason at home and face what was once “America’s Team”, who holds the first part of their practices for the season just 61 miles to the west in Oxnard, California.

Aside from all the hype surrounding Los Angeles actually having a team back in their city permanently, the game will be interesting to see two teams that had disappointing 2015 seasons in their effort to avoid another year of losing.

Since it’s the opener for both teams, you won’t see the starters for very long, but that might be for the best as it will give both teams a chance to find those gems that will help them compete in their respective NFC divisions during the 2016 season.
