High Salary SG

Jimmy Butler-Chicago Bulls (8,400): Butler scored 25 points for the third time in his last four games on Thursday against Miami and added six assists for 33.2 fantasy points. He had a nice run of three games over 40 fantasy points before a brutal downer on Tuesday (just 12.8 fantasy points) and followed that up with his bounceback on Thursday.  Tonight, Butler will take on LeBron and the Cavs as the Bulls play for their playoff lives.  It looks unlikely that they’ll get in since they would need to win out and get lots of help, but Butler will do all he can to drag them forward tonight against the Cavs.  Butler had a monster game with 73.4 fantasy points against the Pistons last Saturday with an impressive triple-double, but he will have to share the court tonight with Derrick Rose which usually caps his fantasy production. He’s a little pricey for tonight at over 8K, but he does have a very high ceiling.

C.J. McCollum-Portland Trail Blazers (7,000): McCollum has at least 30 fantasy points in four of his last five games and has been the one producing most of the Portland offense in their recent surge since Damian Lillard has been struggling with his shot. McCollum has scored at least 24 points in three of his last four and usually chips in solid assists and steals as well. Tonight, he’s in a good matchup against the Timberwolves who he has averaged 18.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.7 steals against in three meetings this season. Portland is currently the #5 seed in the West and is just one half-game against of Memphis, so they still have plenty to play for tonight.

Devin Booker-Phoenix Suns (6,700): Booker and the Suns have had nothing to play for for a long time since losing Eric Bledsoe to injury early in 2016.  The young rookie SG has stepped up though for Phoenix and produced solid offensive numbers for much of his time in the lineup.  Booker is averaging 21.8 points, 3.9 assists, and 3.4 rebounds in his last ten contests while playing over 37 minutes per game. He has at least 28 fantasy points in six of his last nine contests, and he should be set up for a big game tonight against the Pelicans who allow the sixth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG. ∗∗
