High Salary SF

Giannis Antetokounmpo-Milwaukee Bucks (10,000): On a slate of options where explosive potential is hard to find, Antetokounmpo is almost a must-own tonight since he can go off in just about any situation.  He’s in a great situation tonight agains the 76ers who have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF and have been beatable for big fantasy games all season.  “The Alphabet” has at least 49 fantasy points in each of his last four games after posting 27 points, seven boards, seven assists, a block, and a steal against Boston on Friday.  He has limitless potential tonight as he carries the Milwaukee offense with Khris Middleton, O.J. Mayo, Michael Carter-Williams, and Jerryd Bayless all expected to miss tonight’s game.  He’ll be a one-man show, but his versatility and fantasy upside should be on display tonight.

Paul George-Indiana Pacers (8,600): George missed practice with ankle soreness, but he said he expects to play against the Nets which isn’t surprising since the Pacers need a win to clinch a playoff berth. George only played 28 minutes against Toronto on Friday and had a disappoint 28 fantasy points. He had run off a streak of seven straight with over 36 fantasy points before that letdown, and he’ll look to get back to that level if his ankle allows him to tonight against Brooklyn.

Carmelo Anthony-New York Knicks (7,900): Melo has said he’ll play in the rest of the Knicks’ regular season games after resting last Sunday against the Pacers.  Anthony returned on Wednesday with 38 fantasy points against the Hornets but had a quiet game against the 76ers playing just 26 minutes on the road in Phily. Tonight, he’ll have to take on DeMarre Carroll and the Raptors, but it’s very unclear who Toronto will start which will dictate the matchup.  Anthony definitely has a ton of upside, but I still think he’s a risk at this price since New York has nothing to play for.

Gordon Hayward-Utah Jazz (6,900): If you want to go with a player whose team has everything to play for, go with Hayward who will try to lead the Jazz past the Nuggets tonight in Denver.  Hayward has been playing well coming down the stretch with at least 21 points in four of his last five games resulting in over 36 fantasy points in three of his last four contests.  He had 49.25 fantasy points on Friday against the Clippers, but he did have to log a very heavy 46-minute workload.  They’ll be no rest for Hayward tonight but he is in a good matchup and has averaged 20.7 points, 4.0 assists, and 3.3 rebounds in his three games against the Nuggets this season.

Robert Covington-Philadelphia 76ers (6,600): Covington is a boom or bust play tonight against the Bucks.  He had a huge night against the Knicks with 30 point and 11 rebounds on his way to 53.25 fantasy points. He has over 34 fantasy points in six of his last eight games since returning from a concussion, but he did disappear for the other two game during that timeframe.  He’s a much better pick than many people realize, and the Bucks banged-up roster could give him and the Sixers a rare chance for a win.
