High Salary C

Karl-Anthony Towns-Minnesota Timberwolves (8,800): Towns fell just one rebound short of another triple-double while still posting 44.75 fantasy points against the Blazers on Friday.  He has at least 44 fantasy points in three of his last four games and is putting the finishing touches on an amazing rookie season. Tonight, he faces the Rockets who he plastered for 32 points and 11 rebounds in the teams’ last meeting which happened back in mid-March.  Towns will look to again dominate down low, and the Rockets suspect interior defense makes him the big-salary center to look at if you’re spending big at the spot tonight. ∗∗

Nikola Vucevic-Orlando Magic (7,800): Vucevic only played 30 minutes last night against Miami and finished with 32.5 fantasy point. He has at least 30 fantasy points in each of his six games since a long layoff with a groin injury, but as long as he’s good to go on tonight’s back-to-back he’s a solid investment tonight against the Bucks.  His minutes and the fact that the Magic have nothing to play for make him a little risky, but he is still a decent option at just under 8K.

Marcin Gortat-Washington Wizards (6,000): While John Wall and some of Gortat’s other teammates are getting rest as the season winds down, the “Polish Hammer” keeps on grinding away and has three double-doubles in his last five games while averaging 15.4 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.4 blocks in those five contests.  He has at least 28 fantasy points in four of those five with a very impressive 45.75 fantasy points yesterday against the Hornets.  He should be in a good matchup against the Nets second of third string, so as long as he’s active give him a look as a solid mid-range play.
