52. . Running Back. Florida Gators. Fred Taylor. 2. player

Jacksonville made a fantastic selection with the No. 8 overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. The Jaguars went for a local product in the Florida Gators tailback Fred Taylor. Taylor played 11 of his 13 NFL seasons with the Jaguars, rushing for over 10,000 yards as a professional.

Taylor may have played sparingly for the 2009-10 New England Patriots, but he put together arguably a Pro Football Hall of Fame worthy career during his 11 seasons with the Jaguars. Though he only made one trip to the Pro Bowl in 2007, Taylor was one of the most reliable running backs of his era.

With the Jaguars, Taylor ran the ball 2,428 times for 11,271 yards and 62 touchdowns in 140 games. As a receiving back, Taylor had 286 catches for 2,361 yards and eight touchdowns. Unsurprisingly, the Jaguars made him a member of the Pride of the Jaguars back in 2012.

Taylor played so many great games in Jacksonville between his time with the Jaguars and the SEC’s Gators. While the lack of Pro Bowls may end up keeping him out of Canton, Taylor did put together a fantastic career as an NFL tailback, most notably for the Jaguars in North Florida.
