The fact we live in a world where Joey Bosa could fall this far is a bit jarring for me. Bosa is my top-ranked player in the entire 2016 class and, frankly, it wasn’t a terribly difficult decision to put him there. However, Miller disagrees (he isn’t the only one) and that leaves Bosa on the board when the Jaguars come on the clock.

Jacksonville should be doing cartwheels on the way to hand in the index card with Bosa’s name on it.

The Jaguars have more than a few needs, but another pass-rusher on the outside is one of the biggest. The team invested a top pick in a similar position with Dante Fowler Jr. a year ago, but even if he comes back successfully from the injury that sidelined him in 2015, Jacksonville is weak on the opposite side of their defensive line.

For me, this should probably be a “best player available” pick given where the Jaguars are from an organizational standpoint. Fortunately, Joey Bosa fits that bill while simultaneously addressing a real need for Jacksonville. Even if it is a stretch that he would be available here, this is the way our mock plays out right now.
. DE. Ohio State. Joey Bosa. 5. player. 52
