NFL Mock Draft 2016: How high is too high for Jalen Ramsey?

Vernon Hargreaves III. 7. player. 42. <p>This would be… interesting.</p> <p>The 49ers have a glaring need at the quarterback position moving forward, and one of the top two prospects at that position remains available in this mock scenario. However, we are utilizing Miller’s big board for these picks, and a player remains on the board that is rated higher at another position of need for San Francisco.</p> <p>Vernon Hargreaves III is a player that I personally feel is overrated in this marketplace, but NFL draft pundits agree almost unanimously that he is the best pure cover corner in this class. The 49ers struggled mightily to slow the opposition in the passing game at times in 2015, and beyond the quarterback spot, cornerback might be this team’s biggest need.</p> <p>Taking Hargreaves III over a player like QB Carson Wentz would be controversial to say the least. With that said, Chip Kelly has a way of manufacturing competent QB play wherever he goes (even with Sam Bradford at times in Philly), and the organization may not love Wentz enough to pass on a player with a better evaluation.</p> <p>Time will tell, but the Niners are super intriguing in this spot, especially as a trade candidate in either direction.</p>.
