4. The Rangers have plenty of firepower to attack their opponents on offense

When you look at the depth for the New York Rangers when it comes to their lines, it’s almost unfair to other teams. That doesn’t mean they are always playing their “A” game every night, but when they are on, there may not be another team that can compete with them on the ice.

Derick Brassard and Derek Stepan are both players with a high hockey mindset that can play the entire ice and shoot from anywhere inside the blue line with accuracy. Kevin Hayes has had an amazingly productive second half and has stepped up in the middle, with Dominic Moore able to spell him on shifts.

The dark horse on the offense is going to be Rick Nash. Since arriving in New York, Nash has had his ups and downs when it comes to the postseason. Like other veterans in the league, Nash can be the MVP of the team in the Stanley Cup Playoffs or he can be someone not heard from for an entire series. It’s unknown just yet which Nash will show up this time around, but for New York’s sake it better be the one wanting his first Stanley Cup championship.
