The San Diego Chargers will look to bounce back in 2016 by adding young talent early in the draft.

The San Diego Chargers had a rough season in 2015. Phillip Rivers and the Chargers went 4-12 in 2015, although they had many injuries this season along the offensive line and to linebacker Manti Te’o.

Despite these injuries, the Chargers will still feel they could have done better than 4-12 and will definitely feel they can play better in the AFC West, even though it is a tough division in the league.

Phillip Rivers got some help in the backfield last year with Melvin Gordon, but with nobody to protect the aging quarterback and not many talented receivers to throw to, this offense still has lots of work to do.

But the Chargers should focus on building their defense. If there is anything we have learned in recent years in the NFL, it is that, although there are many talented quarterbacks, defense wins championships.

The Seahawks had a ridiculous defense three years ago when they won the Super Bowl, the Patriots won on a defensive play in Super Bowl 49 and, well, the Broncos defense carried the championship back to Denver, with virtually no help from their offense.

So, even though the Chargers could use help on offense, they need to pad their defense first with the third pick in the draft. Here is who they should get to join them in San Diego.
