77.
Small forward was a revolving door for the Clippers this year, and even with Jeff Green in tow, they could still use a youth injection. Doc Rivers might not be keen on international players, but Zipser fits incredibly well with what the Clippers’ roster needs.

Zipser is a lot like a small forward version of Wade Baldwin, in that he’s good at pretty much everything on the basketball floor. He averaged 7.3 points and 3.8 rebounds as one of the first guys off Bayern Munich’s bench, and he showed a solid ability to score both inside (52.2 percent from the field) and out (41.5 percent from three on two attempts per game). He’s an excellent passer for his size, and while he’s not a guy who will take over a game or create his own shot, Zipser should be a nice role player in the NBA, thanks to his catch-and-shoot prowess and basketball IQ. Defensively, Zipser is incredibly gritty, with the quickness to defend bigger perimeter players and the toughness to go to war with bigs. While he’s not the biggest player (6’8″, 6’10” wingspan), he showed excellent ability as a weakside shot-blocker thanks to his quickness, and he’s willing to take on tough assignments, routinely handling Europe’s top scorers in continental play even though he was Munich’s youngest player. In the NBA, Zipser should be able to be a junkyard dog type, posting 8-10 points per game as an outlet option and playing excellent team defense night in and night out. That’s really what the Clippers have been searching for at forward, and this should be an excellent selection if they go this route.
