29.
There was a lot of anticipation about French shooting guard Isaia Cordinier playing in the Nike Hoops Summit this weekend, the lone 2016 NBA Draft hopeful to attend. His performance was somewhat of a mixed bag, though, and Cordinier looks more like a long-term project than a guy who could jump over immediately. Cordinier looked apprehensive as a creator for the international team, struggling to get separation on isolation attempts and only posting one assist in 21 minutes of action while really looking nervous with the ball in transition. His jumper also didn’t look very impressive, as his mechanics are more of a set shot than a true jump shot.

However, there were also some bright spots. Cordinier did show a good ability to get to the line and finish through contact, and his athleticism looked on par with the best of the United States team’s athletes. He also grabbed five rebounds, showcasing his strong length and solid instincts. He also impressed with his competitiveness and camaraderie with the international team, constantly getting hyped up and keeping his squad motivated. Those are awfully Spursian traits, and if the Spurs were to dip into the French talent pool again (they picked up Livio Jean-Charles in 2013), Cordinier would be a good option to let simmer in Europe for a few years.

To learn more about Isaia Cordinier, click here.
.
