Round 1, Pick 1: QB Carson Wentz (North Dakota State)

The Los Angeles Rams are making a splash with their return to Los Angeles, as they now are in possession of the No. 1 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. That clearly means that the Rams are going to take one of the top two quarterbacks in the draft with their pick in Jared Goff or Carson Wentz.

It’s a tough decision that the Rams have to make, but Wentz makes all the sense in the world for the Rams. While a small schools quarterback going first seems crazy, Wentz is that special talent that can make all the throws needed of him at the next level.

He has the size at 6-foot-5 and 237 pounds. He has a quick release on his passes and he’s pretty accurate with his throws. If Wentz is the pick in Los Angeles, then he’s going to be thrown into the fire and starting from day one against a good NFC West division.

If the Rams are going to get the people in Los Angeles excited about their future, selling them on the idea of Wentz and Gurley is a perfect idea and that goes with the physical defense that they have. The Rams are going all in and they seem to be sold on their next quarterback.
