Tennessee Titans: 7-round mock draft
Jack Conklin – Offensive Tackle – Michigan State
Jack Conklin could come in for the Titans and help out in keeping Mariota protected, as well as help open holes for Murray in the run game. He has pretty good body size, could stand to add a few pounds at six six, 308 pounds. He is quick for a lineman with a sub-five forty and a 2.92 twenty yard dash.
He redshirted his first year at Michigan State, but after that he had 38 straight starts. He earned himself All-Big 12 and All-American honors his senior year for a Michigan State team that dominated in the ground game. His instincts are solid for a lineman, especially one that wasn’t very good going into the college level.
Conklin could work on his form in pass blocking, though. He lets defenders get into him to control him more than he should and he is slower at recovering than some. But he had to work his way into a scholarship at Michigan State and he will continue to work hard at the professional level. He is a big need for this Titans offense and fits nicely around the mid-teen first round draft.
